Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item are improved by upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade increment boosts the stats linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an indicator of the level of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item upgrades is a method to increase the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished by a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or increasing an item's rarity or mark level. In addition there are many items that can be reforged to boost their stats even more.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available throughout all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. Upgrade components are the most common method of upgrading equipment. These are the items that can be inserted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots for upgrading and some require a certain amount of upgrade. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses while others give an overall bonus.

There are a variety of upgrade elements in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. To upgrade an item, click it in your inventory and open the upgrade items window. The window will show an overview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected stats will be after the upgrade items, and any materials or components required. If you do not have enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will be marked as Blocked.

The number of upgrade components needed for a particular item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The price of an upgrade increases as the level and Upgrade Items rarity of the item. However you can lower the cost by purchasing upgrades from a merchant or trading them with other players.

Many weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia. Other weapons can be enhanced with the suffix. These upgrades change the name of the item, adding an adjective, like "Radiant" or "Minor vigor.' The exceptions are the noninscribable wands, shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which cannot be upgraded with any mods in any way.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a powerful tool to communicate visual information. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The animation of glyphs resembles the body language, making them more effective in transmitting a linguistic barrier-crossing message. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by specific amount. This is displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is the maximum value that a glyph could enhance a stat by and not the amount it actually improves it by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the product you are creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components that are added to items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that has not yet been applied to your gear, you can move it to a different piece equipment by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu in the Glyphs panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be recovered by removing the glyph fragments.

Adding a glyph to an item could cause it to become unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you remove the item upgrades. You can also place an inscription to your equipment to make it more valuable. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and distribute it slowly instead of all at one time. This is helpful for those who take many hits from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens permit players to alter the affixes they use on their weapons and equipment, and can be found through a variety of methods like mistery boxes, as an uncommon drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Each reroll provides the player with an unspecified affix, which is usually better than what they had before. Reroll tokens can also be a good way to reroll weapon stats and can be upgraded for better damage or other perks.

Rerolled items do not appear on the menu for upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. When you press the "upgrade button", you can recycle the rerolled items. This will change the design of the item's window and let up to six items be selected to recycle. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined based on the item's rarity as well as its level. Therefore, higher-leveled items are more valuable for recycling than those with lower levels.

In addition to reroll tokens, players can make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls roll the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The most effective method to level up an upgrade for an item upgrader kit is to increase the amount of upgrade. This boosts the value of upgrading the stat. The second option is to increase the impact of the upgrade, which boosts damage or healing for a stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. The new item will retain its iLevel but have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.
