The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and is effective, but this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.

The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly fast.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops - Get Source - in our review, but it comes with some unique features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock that doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink and an automatic vacuum cleaner 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxes.
