It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger objects like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and works well, but it's something you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it has some distinctive features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't an issue except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
