Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain stroller that is lightweight durable, sturdy and provides excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold means it's easy to transport and freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines to a near-flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Baby-friendly? Yes, with an additional carrycot.

Air-filled tyres and good suspension will handle rough terrain well. You can also use it for jogging. However, you must wait until the baby is at least 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a great choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. The travel system includes an adjustable carrycot that can be folded flat for infants as well as an adjustable forward and rear facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to comprehend why it's received praise from its customers. It is incredibly lightweight - the wheels and chassis weigh only 6.5kg. It's also very easy to assemble. In fact I was able to get the whole thing up and running in less than five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering it included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!

The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie who is 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to operate. The basket has plenty of space and I find it nice that the handle bar comes with a pocket to keep your keys and phone secure.

The only slight downside is the handlebar is low, which can be an issue for taller parents. But, it's covered in a lovely leather-like material that's soft and comfortable, and it wipes down easily, meaning it's still a breeze to push with children and bags on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is for parents who like to explore and are always on the go. The large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on forest and field trails, and the front 3 wheel stroller for running can be rotated and locked for additional versatility. It also comes with a padded 5-point safety harness and front bar to ensure your child is safe throughout your journey while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving while you rest. The seat can be adjusted to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate mum or dad.

No matter if you're taking short jogs or a hike that lasts a while, the Runner is ready to join you on your journeys with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee an unhurried ride. The front 3 wheel compact stroller can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold in order to fit into car boot spaces or storage spaces.

The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its well-designed and no-fuss essentials for parenting. It's the most recent - and priciest - version of their bargain light stroller collection. It's also, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable so that you can use it right from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace features some stunning design elements, like the rose gold hue to the chassis, hood and stroller trims, which make it stand out from its competition. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are elegant and there is an option to add a co-ordinating handle for the cover and bumper bar as well.

The stroller seat can be used from birth until 22kg. It can easily be converted into a reversible 2-in-1 position, which is either parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with multiple lie back positions, soft padded leg rest support and has an extendable sun canopy featuring hidden zip sections, a see through flap and a retractable sun visor section.

When folded in half, the Pace measures 56 32 x 43 cm which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among other airlines. It's also a breeze to fold, thanks to two buttons on either side of the handlebar which just click in and out. Then, it will pop up.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis has a shorter 3 wheel running stroller distance, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two kids - one a toddler and another eight-week old - across rough terrain along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are huge with a diameter of 22cm and 30cm so they can cope with lots of different terrains. They also have a handy flap that can open or closes to allow more air to circulate should you need it, which is a nice addition. It is a little bigger than other pushchairs, however it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to clean. It's also quieter than other pushchairs and I was comfortable using it in busy urban streets. It has built-in accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags or snack trays, and even snack trays. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, but it's not particularly waterproof. The single pram can be outfitted with the Comfort Wheeled board (not included), which gives your child more legroom. The bassinet took around 20 minutes to put together and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into a seat.
