The Lightest, Most Compact and Easiest to Fold Travel Strollers

This stroller is among the lightest and most compact. It's also one of the easiest folding stroller strollers. Despite its size, it offers an excellent ride, a excellent sun canopy and multi-position recline.

At less than $100, this stroller is an excellent value. It's compact and easy to fold, making it ideal for public transport, or even slinging over your shoulder.

1. Lightweight

The best models we tested can be folded in one hand and sometimes with two and can be tucked into overhead compartments for luggage. Our top choice is the Babyzen YoYo2 (320), which folds the easiest of all the strollers we tested, and is able to fit into the overhead bins of planes. The seat reclines to a flat position and is car seat compatible, so it's suitable for babies up to age 2. The car also features an undercarriage that is deep, a bag-hook on the handle, and UPF50+ canopy to offer plenty of protection to your child.

Other great options include the Cybex Orfeo ($320), that features a one-handed concertina fold and is extremely light. Its five-point harness, padded and crotch strap keep your child safe, while the reversible seat and massive undercarriage basket make sure there's plenty of space for their belongings. It's also compatible with the brand's infant car seat which makes it a feasible option for families starting from the time of birth.

The Coya TRVL ($320) is one-handed, one-step fold, is also compatible with car seats and has a large canopy. It's more expensive than other models in the same category, but offers additional features, including a spacious cupholder and a parent's pocket, a movable handlebar to fit parents of all heights, and a comfortable carrying strap. The simplicity of the model does not mean it's as durable, as compared to other models in this class.

2. Folding is easy

When you're on the go, your stroller newborn has to be simple to open and close. You do not want a stroller which is difficult to close when you're carrying children or groceries in your arms. Even with just one hand, the most efficient travel strollers can be folded easily and compactly. Many come with a comfortable strap that can be comfortably placed over your shoulder.

In our tests, the Libelle stroller scored highly for Pram sale its effortless fold and compact size. It also has a few nice features: It rolls smoothly over all surfaces and comes with a huge canopy that offers plenty of coverage. Plus, it's surprisingly lightweight and self-standing when folded, which makes it easy to store.

It's a bit larger than the umbrellas from the brand but is smaller than their G-Luxe or G-Link counterparts. It also comes with a padded shoulder strap.

3. Easy to store

The best travel strollers fold down to an easy-to-store size that you can easily fit in the trunk of your car or into the overhead bin on an airplane. Some even come with a carry strap that makes it easy to carry on your shoulders, so you don't have to worry about your hands becoming tired. They also tend to be lighter than normal strollers, which can make them easier to carry and lift when it's time for an easy stroll around the neighborhood or strollers the airport.
