The physical component of the Space Key

The NFT was created in collaboration with an unknown artist and will be auctioned in just a few weeks. The core of the NFT is a piece made of carbon fiber composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 as part of an experiment. The carbon fiber has been 3D printed to form the basis of each Space Key, which is connected to an exclusive, entirely digital artwork through a QR code on the back of the key. Each Space Key contains a block comprised of the most advanced carbon-fire composite material. It was sent to the International Space Station as part of a research project in 2019. After returning to Earth the Space Key was imprinted with a QR code that links it to the digital component of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that occurs at different times as the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. More than 600 million pixels up each of the five images which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner used an inflatable camera with a lens to capture individual images, which were then combined into the final photo. The result is an out of this world photograph that captures both the beauty of the Earth as well as the futuristic, hyper-realistic image of the car rising from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and location of the event hasn't been announced yet.

The auction

Each NFT will be sold separately and the winner will get an artwork created by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments that the Space Key experienced during its flight in outer space.
