The best robot vacuum Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and will leave your floors spotless. Its surprisingly affordable price and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Make sure to check your robot vacuum that vacuums and mops's brushes regularly for tangled debris and hair. Wash them when necessary. 1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic hoovers vacuums we have test. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can generate up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. As with other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they employ intelligent mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also come with the feature of Carpet Boost that boosts its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. For instance, the Q5's navigation system does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to getting hung up on shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tight spaces very well in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a great option, especially if you want to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also extremely quiet and can be used while you're at work or in school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad for dry ones in just a few minutes.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically emptys into its base, and it supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming it, something we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba than the competitors' compact models This robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has 100% in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, which include a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an easy mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit, which can be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work, or at night when you attempt to sleep.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop (anchor) with a lot of advanced features to help you get rid of your chores. Similar to Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes charge of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection but this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum cleaner comes with the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home depending on the degree of dirt they are.

If you have a bigger home, it's worth selecting a robot that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice command. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have large furniture. For busy families, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off can be extremely useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than the price suggests. It does a stellar job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using one pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the robot mop cleaners that we've examined. It's also self-sufficient with a fully-featured application, and a self emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate a mapping run that collects data on your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms to ensure better performance. The app comes with a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It features a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and clever combs for removing pet hair. It also has the ability to create a spot-clean that intensely cleans a localized area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like cute little eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, however it is more likely to be caught in low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums that we have tested. It also comes with an app that's not as intuitive, and a smaller base station that does not double as a bin to empty.
