World of Warcraft - item level upgrade Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. In some cases this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the weapon will continue to increase until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their effectiveness. In the case of chests or helms it will boost its base defense while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it may change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will get when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button on the item menu using the arrows that circle. This will roll an item upgrades and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to get through difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade items your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and to unlock each one you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each level will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a large group of adversaries in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a handful of friends.

You can't upgrade your armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have some upgrades of the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give an immediate effect. There are five kinds of potions with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. In addition the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to the potions.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the cost of upgrading is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item upgrader mod's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potions that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you use it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.

There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for example have now a duration of zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The potion table is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. The same applies to the use of a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will deplete the potion and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It could also be an ornament or object that serves a function but isn't essential as a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket is a way to express friendship or affection between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. As with other upgrades to items trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

When the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players which makes them an attractive alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). When deciding the items to upgrade, players must also be aware of their class's preferred statistics. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

After they've become unusable trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional bonus of 1. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
