The Eufy 11S is one the most affordable self-emptying robotic vacuums that are available. It efficiently sucked up dry Oats from hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile during our tests. The eufy RoboVac 11S makes a good choice for regular vacuuming. It is a close design to our top choice and is excellent at picking up small particles and fine dust from hard floors. It also does a decent job on medium and low-pile carpet. Similar to the Roomba from iRobot Roomba it also has a very large dirt compartment, and it uses BoostIQ to automatically adjust suction power. It comes with a user-friendly remote control, and you can schedule daily cleanings using the app. Its battery lasts about an hour and the dustbin can be empty without taking it from the dock.

2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is an excellent robot vacuum cleaner and mop with a surprising array of automation features. It is available in three models that include the basic S7, the S7 MaxV Plus and the S7 MaxV Ultra. Only the latter comes with an Empty Wash Fill Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks let the robot vacuum cleaner self emptying return to its home base after cleaning and empty the debris it has collected into a dust collection bag or reservoir, drain its clogged water tank and wash its mopping pad.

It is able to remove many messes on carpeted flooring and does a decent job of moving itself around however it isn't close to matching the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of performance on carpeted floors. The i7 also feels more robust, more durable and requires less maintenance. It also incurs lower recurring cost and charges faster, and offers comparable battery performance. It also comes with more advanced features for automation, like no-go zones and the ability to choose specific rooms to be cleaned.

4. iRobot J7+

This robot vac and mop combination is a rare machine that can do both tasks well. IRobot's Combo j7+ offers all the features of its j7-based counterpart, including self-emptying and LiDAR mapping, but also includes additional features for mopping and vacuuming.

The new acoustic sensors assist the j7+ recognize floor types, so it can choose between mopping and vacuuming during the first time it passes through a room. This information is also used to prioritize cleaning rooms with carpets and rugs versus those with hard flooring.

The j7+ is quieter than most robotic vacuums when it's running, and even quieter when it's mopping. The highest reading we could get on our decibel meter was 64db which is comparable to the sound of normal office chatter.

It's easy to set the schedule to clean and alter the way that the j7+ operates when its dust container is full. The j7+ can be controlled using voice assistants (Alexa, Google Assistant, etc.).) for a hands-free approach and the app allows you to create and look at maps of your home.

The j7+ performed well in our tests of both hard and carpeted flooring, and was able to remove all the dirt we threw at it. It isn't able to deal dealing with pet hair, large debris and sand. But it is able to clean them with a little more effort. It has excellent navigational capabilities and two cliff sensors to prevent it from falling down the stairs or getting caught on furniture legs.

We did notice a few minor niggles with the j7+, mostly that it could snag cords and carpets, and it doesn't always switch off its mopping once it's done vacuuming. This is a great model that checks all the boxes.

iRobot J7+ is one of the most efficient auto-emptying systems that we've ever tested. It drops its 14oz/0.4-liter dust container into the base station, where it automatically emptys itself. This reduces the amount of garbage you need to dispose of and you'll only have to change the reusable dust disposal bag from the dock about every 60 days or so, based on how often you use the j7+.
