Testing is a bit tricky since there are two connector pins, and they perform different functions however the best method of testing it is by measuring resistance between the sensor and the ECU. If the sensor is operational, it should be reading approximately 1000 ohms. Check for signs of coolant, or oil in the connector bay if you are experiencing issues with this component.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating at full speed from the highway paytoll i had an abrupt drop in power as if the engine was running out of gas or the injectors aren't firing at all. I took out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were soaked in gasoline, and the fourth was dry. I put tissue over each injector hole, and when I start the engine with no sparks, the three with gazoline jump right out. The 4th one remains shut. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55/30/55/48/55/14/55/48/ I get zero Ohm. I'm assuming that the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID but without success. The car can start when the G28 is unplugged and is running fine when it is plugged in, but still is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for the coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value -49c even when i unplug it. Also i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 when i rev the engine.
I'm not sure what to do. I feel like i've pretty much ruled everything else out. But i am afraid i might have missed something. Please let me know if you have any ideas! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal by the RPM sensor.
